Tennis - US Open Update
September 7, 2016

The US Open quarter-finals got underway last night and last year’s surprise finalist Roberta Vinci could not repeat her amazing run of 2015 losing against second seed and Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber 7-5 6-0.
Â
Gael Monfils (Advised 200/1 ante post and now as short as 15/1) defeated compatriot Lucas Pouille (seeded 22), who shocked fourth seed Nadal on Sunday night. He will now face either top-seed Djokovic who was two sets to love against Tsonga when the Frenchman retired due to injury.

If you followed my advice to back Monfils ante post, I would advise cashing out for a profit as Djokovic looks to be regaining his form. Del Potro (advised 22/1) is also through to the quarter-finals and will face third seed Wawrinka tonight. He leads the head-to-head 4-2, has won the last four (including in four sets at Wimbledon this season) and I’m confident he can continue this trend and make it through to the semi-finals. Here he will face either second seed Andy Murray or sixth seed Nishikori, who play later tonight.
